Rights, Recovery and Renaissance

Rights, Recovery and Renaissance

Held on Saturday, November 19th from 9 am to 4 pm

 Southern University Law Center

Baton Rouge, LA

This summit was a day-long event to create actionable items that will foster Gulf Coast rebirth following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

The mission of this summit was to address basic rights fundamental to the recovery of the Gulf region, so that its residents have hope of experiencing an economic and cultural Renaissance.

The gathering was hosted by the Louisiana NAACP and made possible through the participation of Democracy for America, Dr. Quintus Jett's MOSAIC Project, and many other organizations.

Many thanks to our many panelists and over 100 participants!

Thank you Dr. Ernest Johnson (President of the Louisiana NAACP), Dr. Quintus Jett (Dartmouth College), and Musheer Robinson (Faith & Community Collaborative) for their leadership!  A special thanks to Monisha Sujan for her extensive and professional event contributions!
